1. Who we are and what this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Vasai Virar Properties ("we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects information when you visit this website or submit an enquiry through it (together, the "Site").

We operate a property listing and enquiry platform for new residential and commercial projects in Virar, Nalasopara, Vasai and Naigaon in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. We are a MahaRERA-registered real estate agent and a channel partner to the developers whose projects are listed — we are not the developer or promoter of any project on the Site.

By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Enquiry form data — when you submit an enquiry about a project, we collect your name, phone number, email address, any message you write, and the project you are enquiring about.
  • Direct contact — if you contact us by WhatsApp, phone call or email, we collect whatever information you share with us in that conversation, including your phone number or email address.
  • Technical data — when you browse the Site, we automatically collect your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you view, using standard web server logs.
  • Cookies — we use cookies and similar technologies as described in Section 5 below.

3. How we use it

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your enquiries about projects, pricing, floor plans and availability;
  • Share your enquiry with the developer or promoter of the project you enquired about, or their sales team, so they can contact you directly;
  • Improve the Site, its content and how projects are presented;
  • Show relevant advertising, including through Google AdSense; and
  • Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests from authorities.

4. Sharing your information

We share personal information only in the following circumstances:

  • With the developer(s) or promoter(s) of the project(s) you enquire about, or their authorised sales team, so they can respond to your enquiry;
  • With service providers who help us run the Site — such as web hosting and email delivery providers — who process data on our behalf;
  • With Google, in connection with Google AdSense (see Section 6); and
  • With legal or regulatory authorities, where required by law or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help a website remember information about your visit. We use the following categories of cookies:

  • Essential cookies — needed for the Site to function correctly (for example, to remember your filter or form preferences during a visit).
  • Advertising cookies — used to show relevant ads, including through Google AdSense.

Where required, we ask for your consent to non-essential cookies through a cookie consent banner on the Site. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by revisiting the cookie settings shown in that banner.

You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block cookies, delete existing cookies, or get a warning before a cookie is stored. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the Site work.

6. Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to show advertising on the Site.

Google may use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and learn more about how Google uses data when you use our Site or app at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

7. Data retention

We keep personal information collected through enquiries for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you, connect you with the relevant developer, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. We review and delete or anonymise data we no longer need on a periodic basis.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal information we hold against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights under Indian law

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000, and related rules, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Ask us to erase your personal information, subject to any legal retention requirements;
  • Withdraw consent you have previously given, where we rely on consent; and
  • Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer (see Section 13) if you believe we have not handled your information properly.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 13. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.

10. Children

The Site is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational or regulatory reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
